Mallet Finger

It is a condition that occurs as a result of the rupture of the tendon that lifts the fingertip part. A blow to the fingertip is often the result of hitting the ball. It can also occur without serious coercion. As a result of the sudden concentration of force on the fingertip, the tendon that lifts the finger can break off from the tip or from where it attaches to the bone a small bone_cc781905-5cde-3194-bb358d_bad5c In both cases, it would not be possible to actively lift the fingertip. Since the tip of the finger is low, it is likened to a hammer and is called hammer finger. A splint can be used to raise the tip of the finger, but the treatment time is long and usually no successful results can be obtained. We prefer surgical treatment to ensure recovery in such cases.
